Time has flown

I can't believe I haven't blogged in forever. We have been very busy.

Last year I started having migraines really bad. I was actually in Reno at a friends house when they started. I didn't feel very good. We found out in November that my Pituitary Tumor had doubled in size. By the end of February beginning of March I was very sick and in pain all the time. It was horrible. I couldn't work, I couldn't do much of anything. The light hurt, the noise hurt, it hurt to lay my head on a pillow and even touch my hair. I was desperate to find a cure. The doctor thought I might have Pseudotumor Cerebri so they did a spinal tap on me. Well, I got worse. I ended up in the hospital for a few days and it was horrible. When I got out I had another MRI done and they found that my tumor was hemorrhaging and they believed that was causing the pain.

To this day, we don't know for sure what is causing the pain. There is talk that it may not be a tumor, but a cyst growing on my pituitary gland. They don't want to do anything until it grows more. Craziness!!! I had tried all the medications the doctor's have given me and nothing has given me relief. Rocky and I have tried a vegetarian diet, cutting out all foods that could have MSG. And you wouldn't believe how much food has MSG, it's scary.

A few weeks ago I decided that I would try going to an acupuncturist in Saint George. I have had more relief going to him then I have in the last year. I'm still having hard days, but not nearly as much as I have been. I can't believe how much it has helped. Before I went I thought acupuncture was a bunch of voo doo, but it is amazing.

I pray every day that my headaches and migraines will subside so that I can live a normal life pain free. I know this is just a trial that I have to go thru, but it affects so many people I just wish I could feel better. Here's to hoping that the acupuncture will cure it in the end.....
